The Invaders are back in the Championship game, after winning the title in 2014.  For the Renegades, this is their first Championship appearance in franchise history.
Fargo has been the most dominant team in League history, posting 7 shutouts & only allowing 24 points in 10 games; while their offense has averaged 50.9 points per game.  The Renegades are ranked second in the Power Poll and have had success against the rest of the league (7-1); however, they lost both times against Fargo.

In the first matchup the Invader Defense that was ‘on fire’, forcing 3 turnovers & holding the Renegade Offense to 23 total yards on the day, including 84 negative yards via Sack.  The Renegades biggest Offensive plays were on 4th Down via botched punts; two big gainers via pass, and a turnover that bounced off an Invader player to give the ball back to the Renegades.  In the 1st Half the Invaders scored on 2 of their 3 possessions, including an opening drive of 75 yards.  The Invaders found the endzone in 1 of their 4 second half possessions, with two deep threat drives stalling via a missed Field Goal & Interception at the 6 yard line.

In Fargo the Invader offense continued its success on both the ground and air game, racking up a total of 395 yards. Tony Stauss ended the game going 10-14 with 106 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. CT Davis has had a staggering run game all season and continued that pattern rushing 12 times for a total of 154 yards and 2 TD’s. Derek Alexander added to the running game ending with 72 yards and a touchdown against his former team.  The Invader Defense held All-Star Ryan Fay to 5/19 passing with only 41 yards & 2 Interceptions.  Anthony Carpenter was the leading rusher with 38 yards on 7 carries, as the Renegades ended up with a total of 120 yards and 5 turnovers.

History is in-favor of the Invaders as they are (6-1) against the Renegades with the lone loss coming last year by a score of 6-5 when the Renegades scored with 10 seconds left in the game.

Prediction: Invaders 42, Renegades 6

The Championship Game is Saturday, August 13th, 6pm kickoff at Shanley High School.
