St. Paul, MN – Saturday, July 9, the Twin Cities Sabercats played host to the South Metro Patriots.  As with many of the games in the metro area, this game was special.  In their last meeting, the Sabercats won the game in the last seconds.  With a Patriots win, the teams split their series and the teams find themselves with a tie record; 4 wins and 4 loses with a division record of 2 and 1.  The Patriots wins come from 3 early season games vs the Blitz, Renegades and the Broncos and the 4th from this game.

This was the Sabercats 9th game of the season only having 1 game not played when the Broncos were forced to forfeit their game on June 25th.  The Sabercats have played all of the teams in the NSFL and will be traveling to Collegeville, Mn tomorrow to end their regular season against the same team their season opened with.  The Sabercats wins come from a 4 game winning streak after a rocky start to the season.

Tomorrow’s games are the last in the NSFL regular season.  The schedule showing the Sabercats at Granite City Renegades and 5pm and the West Central Broncos at South Metro Patriots.  The Broncos who have suffered a roster hit this season have been forced to forfeit the game leaving the league to work through a season record tie-breaker scenario for the East Division champions if the Sabercats take a win in this final game.
