Week 6 was Headlined with the #1 Invaders traveling to #2 Renegades; however, like all the foes before them the Renegades were no match. Also picking up wins were #3 Twin City Sabercats & #6 South Metro Patriots.
There was a Double-Header at St. John's University on Saturday, the first Double-Header since May 4th, 2013 when the Broncos/Lumberjacks & Renegades/Rhinos games were played at St. Cloud State.
The first game kicked off at 11am with the West Central Broncos playing host to the South Metro Patriots. It was a low scoring game throughout, but the Patriots came out victorious 12-8, just a week after a forfeit loss. Voters continue the trend to penalize teams that Forfeit.
The second game of the day, the Fargo Invaders topped the Granite City Renegades 28-0 and add another Shutout to their books, making it 4 out of 5 games. From a yards perspective, this was the best Defensive Effort for the Invaders, holding the Renegades to just 23 Total Yards. The Invader offense was efficient as well, scoring on 3 of 7 drives; with two of those stalled drives getting inside the 10-yardline.
For the nightcap, the Twin City Sabercats hosted the Northland Blitz. The Sabercats ended with the win, by a final of 44-6. This extends their win streak to 3 games.
