Duluth – The Renegades crushed the Northland Blitz on June 4th by a score of 81-0.  The Renegades scored on the first offensive series with a 30 yard TD run by Sean Hayden, and the Renegades never looked back.  Scoring a franchise record 81 points last held by the 2012 team when they scored 56 on the Twin City Rhinos.  QB, Ryan Fay went 7/10, 177 yards, and 3 TD’s in the 1st half.

The Renegades set multiple team and single game records;

  • Most TD’s in a game (12) – was 6 back in 2013
  • Most team sacks (13) – was 9 back in 2013
  • Most rushing TD’s, 3 by Michael Iverson
  • Most sacks, 6 by Kyle Crozon
  • Fumble Recoveries, 2 by James Stauty

The Renegades have already scored more points this season than they ever have.  The most they have scored in an entire season was 152 back in 2012.  Should be a sign of what is in store the rest of the season with five regular season games left.

The Renegades have improved to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the West Division.  They now face their greatest challenge yet, the Fargo Invaders (4-0, 1-0) on June 11th at St. John’s University.  Kickoff is at 5 PM. The last time the Renegades hosted the Invaders they won the game with a last minute TD by Devin Payment to win the game 6 – 5.  This will be for the #1 spot in the West division and the Overall best record in the NSFL.
