All Stays the Same; #1 Invaders, #2 Renegades

After Memorial Day weekend games, all stays the same. The Renegades defended their home field, splitting the season series with the Patriots, and the Sabercats went up to Duluth & came away with a big win.

In Collegeville, the Granite City Renegades were looking to avenge their only loss of the season; which was to the South Metro Patriots 14-18 in Burnsville.  Though their offense was still limited to just 14 points, the Renegade defense made a play at the end of the game - unlike the first meeting - to preserve the victory 14-12.

In Duluth, both teams were looking for their first win of the season.  The Sabercats (0-2) had only played against the #1 & #2 teams, losing 13-18 to the Renegades.  It was a whole different Sabercat team that faced the Blitz as they pounced on Northland early on, gaining a 41-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.  By halftime they extended the lead to 55-0, with the final outcome being 70-0.

Week 5 has one re-match, the South Metro Patriots (2-2) traveling to the Fargo Invaders (3-0).  The Granite City Renegades (3-1) will travel to Duluth to face-off against the Blitz (0-3).  And the West Central Broncos (1-2) will head to the Twin City Sabercats (1-2).
