The South Metro Patriots are a second year franchise based out of Burnsville, Minnesota and play all home games at Burnsville High School. The team formerly known as the Midwest Monarchs were purchased by former General Manager and Head Coach Peter Suggs. With his new ownership of the team Coach Suggs formed a partnership with Tim Jackson (Patriots General Manager/CoOwner) and Brandon Krona (Community Interactions Director/CoOwner) and changed the teams name to the South Metro Patriots. The South Metro Patriots are a nonprofit organization built to strengthen the community through family, fun, and good old fashioned football.

This Season the Patriots set out to add to their Coaching Staff by first seeking out Dave Ladd (Defensive Line Coach/Asst. Defensive Coordinator) who brings a wealth of coaching experience and has done it from the youth level on up, Coach Chauncey Williams-Barefield (Offensive Coordinator) who has spent a few years installing offensive systems in the NEFL for the Twin City Titans, Carlos Gee (Running Backs Coach) who has earned a high level of respect from his multiple year tenure at Apple Valley High School, and of course second year Wide Receiver coach Aaron Stephens is still around with Linebacker Coach Keon Thomas to continue in their roles on the team with coach Pete Suggs (Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator).

The Patriots have a roster of 60+ players; 20 of which are from the previous Midwest Monarchs and a wealth of players from various other football programs and/or leagues. Patriots players ages range from 18 to 36 and range from all walks of life, levels of football, and cities/states across the Country. Players to watch are Tony Weinand (RB), Brandon King (Athlete), Mike Grant (QB), Charles Langhorne (TE), Ron McCollum (LT), Jamar Strohmberg (DT), Jake Brown (LB), Torey Wilson (LB), G'Angelo Bradden (LB), Tevis Wilson (CB), Creston Tolbert (CB), Joseph Polivany (LB), and Brandon Torry (S).

The Patriots Management approaches this year with the intent of building a long lasting community football program that is looking to be on the cutting edge of what's next in semi-pro football.
