2016 Will Kickoff with Few Changes

West Division:

  • Fargo Invaders
  • Granite City Renegades
  • West Central Broncos

East Division:

  • Northland Blitz
  • South Metro Patriots
  • Twin Cities Sabercats

The West has the experience with the Granite City Renegades (2011), West Central Broncos (2012), & Fargo Invaders (2013) all returning.  All three teams keep a similar structure as prior years; Renegades remain with the Weavers & will play games at St. John's University.  The Broncos continue with Steve Peppin & Megan Davis, located in the Willmar area with games at New London-Spicer HS.  The Fargo Invaders are still run by a Board of Directors, playing at Shanley HS.

The East may seem new, but has familiar ties. The Northland Blitz are returning to the NSFL after being accepted last year, this time the Bents have added prolific owner Rontay Howell to their staff; the three will provide a solid foundation for years to come in the Duluth area.  The South Metro Patriots are formerly known as the Midwest Monarchs, co-Owner Peter Suggs has added help & are renaming to the Patriots carrying a familiar name with local youth football.  Their home games will remain at Burnesville High School.  Finally, the Twin Cities Sabercats are formerly known as the Midwest Nightmare.  Tammy & Sonny Stephens have passed ownership to Duane Rosen who is making things his own with the New Look Sabercats.

The combination of teams should make for an exciting 2016 Season!
